Mindo is located northwest of Quito. There is vast subtropical vegetation inhabited by more than 300 species of birds, including hummingbirds. There is also a wide variety of butterflies and plants. This option can be a good choice if you don’t have enough time to go to the heart of the Amazon. Flower lovers will be able to delight in the various species of orchids.
